If you know anything about the Dodgers then you’ve heard of the larger-than-life former manager Tommy Lasorda. The 93-year-old Lasorda has been a staple at Dodger Stadium for decades, so when the news broke in November that he had been hospitalized, many were understandably concerned.

Thankfully, there’s good news for Dodgers Nation, according to an update from ESPN via Dodgers spokesperson Steve Brener.

Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda has been moved out of intensive care, although he remains hospitalized in Southern California.

The last time we saw Tom was at game 6 of the World Series when the Dodgers won their first title since he managed the team in 1988. Due to his age and history of heart issues, fans were grateful that the LA legend was there to witness his beloved team achieve the dream after a 32-year drought and exceptionally difficult year.

While Lasorda may still be hospitalized, it is reported that he is recovering at an Orange County hospital and hopefully continues to improve. There is no doubt that the former manager is and always has been a fighter.

Get well soon Tommy!
