Media members selected the Arizona State Sun Devils to finish second in the Pac-12 South for the 2020 coronavirus-shortened season.
ASU earned 181 points and two first-place votes to finish behind the USC Trojans in the poll released Wednesday. The Trojans garnered 32 first-place votes and 220 points.
One media member picked ASU to win the Pac-12 title to wrap the seven-game season.
The Utah Utes earned four first-place votes to win the division — two more than the Sun Devils — yet only had 168 total points in the poll.
UCLA (109 points), Colorado (63) and Arizona (57) filled out the Pac-12 South rankings in the preseason poll.
Oregon garnered 21 votes to win the Pac-12 Championship Game and earned 35 of 38 first-place votes for the North Division.
USC (15), ASU (1) and Utah (1) earned a vote or more to win the conference.
