The Badgers add another East Coast piece to a strong defensive class
The Badgers continued to extend their pipeline to New Jersey this morning with the official signing of 2021 defensive end Mike Jarvis.
The Medford native will join TJ Bollers and Ayo Adebogun to make up this class’ defensive end corps, a unit that could be of no small significance next year with the departures of current senior standouts Isaiahh Loudermilk and Garrett Rand looming.
“I made a list of dream schools, Wisconsin was number one. When I started being recruited by them it was a dream come true. Wisconsin is gonna bring the best version of me out.”

Jarvis racked up 44 tackles and 3 sacks in just 7 games this season for Shawnee High School, his third straight year with over 40 tackles. Last season in particular, with more games (and different circumstances regarding a postseason), he emerged as one of the top recruits in the Garden State with 87 tackles and 10 sacks, leading the Renegades on a dominant state title run.
Many recruiting gurus and fans of Jersey High School football have made particular note of how “college-ready” Jarvis is, among other attributes. He’s listed as 6’5 and 250 pounds, and his blend of top level technique and raw power is clear in his highlights. Look for Jarvis to be in the opposition’s backfield in the near future.
