Brazil’s election will face another round of votes, after no candidate secured the required 50%.

Left-winger Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will face far-right incumbent Jair Bolsonaro. In the first round, Lula won 48% against Bolsonaro’s 43%.

Brazilian voters now have four weeks to decide which of the two should lead Brazil.

The last time a candidate won in the first round of voting in Brazil was 24 years ago
