Tina framed for killing Ian in EastEnders

Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) has a list of enemies as long as Santa’s Christmas Eve stop-off schedule but this Christmas in EastEnders, Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) could end her time on the Square by being jailed for trying to kill him.

We have seen Tina lash out in the past at Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) but that took a lot of provoking and, a generally calm person, is Tina really capable of attempted murder?

The police certainly seem to think so as she becomes a person of interest and Ian is informed that she has been taken in for questioning.

Shirley (Linda Henry) implores Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) to help build a case for Tina but as evidence stacks against her, it’s not looking good.

Tina was furious with Ian as she blamed his acquisition of the Queen Vic on Mick’s (Danny Dyer) broken mental health – and when she heard him insulting the family she set out to smear him, only for him to come up smelling of roses.

This led to a showdown between them ahead of Ian’s attack so when the police tell him that Tina is a suspect, Ian doesn’t rule her out.

But is Tina being set up for a crime someone else committed? As she is hauled in by the police, Ian continues to get serious threats and then another situation unfolds where it becomes clear that the person who tried to kill him is going to try again.

Does this rule out Tina? Or are we in double bluff mode?

Given that Luisa has finished filming with the soap and Tina’s departure will soon air, will the long suffering character be jailed for trying to finish off Ian?
