The NASCAR drivers may be the current stars, but they are also keeping an eye on their legacy. Already, the likes of Kyle Busch and Clint Bowyer are watching their sons hit the racing scene. Joining them is Kevin Harvick, whose son Keelan is also quite active on the circuit.

Unlike Brexton Busch and Cash Bowyer, Keelan is not racing in Beginner Box stock cars. Instead, he has opted to race in go-karts, like many other children at the start of their racing careers. Now, it appears that Keelan Harvick is already achieving a fair amount of success in the karting scene.

Suffice to say, Harvick Sr was happy to play the role of the proud father. This win comes on the back of an earlier triumph, just a few weeks ago. Who knows, there may soon come a time when the next generation of young stars rises up and eventually reaches NASCAR.

Kevin Harvick himself will be on a mission in 2021

Truthfully and statistically speaking, Kevin Harvick should have won the 2020 Cup Series title. Unfortunately, the unpredictability of the Playoff system meant that he missed out on the Championship 4.

The 2014 Cup Series champion will now have to perform hard all over again in the 2021 season in search of a second title. However, replicating his nine-win season in 2020 will not be easy. If he can somehow do it again, he will need to maintain his form through the playoffs. One misstep at a crucial stage in the season could take him all the way back to square one.

At 45-years-old, Kevin Harvick may not know how much his body can take. The older he gets, the more difficult it would be to challenge for a Cup Series title. Adding to that is the advent of young and talented drivers like Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, and more, who are many years his junior.
