SpaceX Starship Fires, Encounters Problem | Japanese Lunar Lander Company iSpace to open US Office
SpaceX’s third static fire test ended badly as per the company’s CEO Elon Musk revealed in a post. On Thursday, November 12, SpaceX’s current starship prototype SN8 test fired its one or several raptor engine for the third time, at the company’s Boca Chica test site in South Texas. In this test, the engines of SN8 are ignited while the rocket remain on the ground. However, Thursday’s test did not go that well, which is confirmed by Musk about an hour later. He said SpaceX had lost the control of the starship during the test. "Welost vehicle pneumatics. Reason unknown at present. Liquid oxygen header tankpressure is rising. Hopefully triggers burst disk to relieve pressure, otherwise it’s going to pop the cork," Musk twitted short after the test, but the exact reason for this problem is still unknown. "Maybemelted an engine preburner or fuel hot gas manifold.
