Spacex Starship SN8 Test Flight: A Spectacular Success Even With Fiery Finale. What Next?
On 9th December, at around 5:45 p.m., Eastern Time, SpaceX performed the first high altitude flight test of SN8 Starship launch, with the vehicle successfully lifting off from SpaceX’s test site at Boca Chica, Texas. The flight was the first high altitude test of the vehicle. It was planned to ascent the vehicle to an altitude of 12.5 kilometers before descending and making a powered vertical landing back at the launch site. Musk tweeted after the test flight, “Congrats SpaceX team hell yeah!!”
